Rules for "World War II Remembered" Branson, Missouri Please Print for future reference at the event Refusal to obey the following rules and other commands of the event organizers, The 84th ID Railsplitters, or the Branson Parks Department, can lead to your dismissal from the event.1. This will be a public battle and encampment with WWII veterans observing. Do not do anything that would disrespect their memories. 2. During any battle if you have a misfire STOP, remove the round and pocket it! Kids scour the battlefield for brass casings and we do not want them to take home any duds. 3. All participants must conduct themselves in a safe, responsible manner, at all times. 4. No live ammunition will be allowed in the park for any reason. Only blanks in good condition are to be used. Wood tipped blanks may only be used in firearms with shredders. Test firing of blanks in the encampment will only be allowed in the encampment area from 9am till dark. 5. No firearm is to be pointed directly at anyone closer than 50 feet. Do not fire blindly around obstacles or vehicles. 6. No one is to affix any bayonet to any firearm during the battle. 7. All shotguns must be approved before use. 8. Illegal drugs are not permitted. Alcohol is permitted but you must act responsibly. 9. Helmets, eye, and hearing protection strongly recommended. 10. All firearms must be on safe while entering or exiting a vehicle or when not engaging a target. 11. All participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian when on the battlefield. Under no circumstances will anyone under the age of 16 be allowed to participate in the battles. 12. Authenticity will be enforced by event MP's in the encampment area from Friday afternoon until Sunday at 3pm. If you bring a personal vehicle into the area to offload it must be removed immediately. MP's will strictly enforce this. Modern camping is available in a designated area separate from the WWII Encampment. 13. Period vehicles will operate in a safe manner and must be operated by a licensed driver, have functional brakes, tires, steering, liability insurance, and a fire extinguisher. If complaints are received by the event organizer about unsafe or damaging acts you will be ejected from the event. Proof of insurance is required. Vehicles must carry a modern day fire extinguisher at all times. 14. Only period correct vehicles will be allowed to participate or display in the designated area. Non WWII dated vehicles will be displayed in a separate area designated as Vehicles of other era’s. There is no mileage re-imbursement for military vehicles of other era's than WWII. 15. NO Littering! Any litter you make anywhere in the area must be cleaned up by you. 16. If you sustain a real injury and need assistance, call out the word "Corpsman," not medic. This will be a sign that there is an emergency situation and the battle will stop until assistance is obtained. 17. All participants authenticity must be in compliance with their unit’s standards to be allowed to participate. You must have a correct uniform for the WWII unit you portray. Your weapon must be correct for your unit. All participants will have hair cut above the ears and above the collar. Facial hair must be correct to WWII standards. Earrings are not allowed. If less than 3 of your unit is at this event you must be checked for authenticity by a designated MP. Read rule #1. 19. In case of fire on the battlefield, all participants are to stop the battle immediately until the fire is out and you may resume the battle only when instructed to carry on. 20. Complaints, suggestions or compliments should be made in writing to the Event Coordinator, Gregory Alexander boot@327th.com Please do not address issues with MP's or members of the hosting unit. This will only lead to confusion and potential problems in communication which could lead to your issue not being addressed.
